Zephyrus Drum & Bugle Corps 2027: Tulsa and North Texas Auditions for Brass, Percussion and Guard
Zephyrus Arts Institute is recruiting prospective members for its 2027 Zephyrus Drum & Bugle Corps. The organisation has posted an advance clinic in November and two main audition dates in Oklahoma and Texas, along with separate 2027 audition packets for brass, battery percussion, pit percussion and color guard.
2027 dates at a glance
Pre-audition clinic: Sunday, November 15, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tulsa audition: Sunday, December 13, 2026, 11:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m. North Texas audition: Sunday, January 17, 2027, 11:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m. The official page says the venues are still to be announced. Do not use dates and schools displayed in the separate, older 2026 season section for the 2027 tryouts.
Who should consider applying?
The 2027 packet links cover brass instruments, snare/tenor/bass battery percussion, the front ensemble or Z-Pit, and color guard. The organiser provides a 2027 interest form and audition materials. Potential applicants should consult those packets for precise instrument requirements, audition preparation and applicable age or membership criteria, rather than presuming all school ages qualify.
Clinic fee and preparation
The November 15 pre-audition clinic is listed at US$50, or US$25 for returning Zephyrus drum corps veterans with the appropriate discount code. These prices refer specifically to the clinic; they are not a statement about audition charges, full membership costs or touring tuition. The clinic is described as a chance to meet the instructional approach, receive feedback and prepare for the later auditions.
