Privacy Policy and General Entry Information
Ise-Shima Art Company, Inc. handles personal information in accordance with Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other applicable laws. Please read this information and the relevant competition rules before entering.
1. Operator and contact
Ise-Shima Art Company, Inc. (株式会社伊勢志摩アート・カンパニー) is the contracting party for competition entries accepted on this site, the recipient of entry fees, and the business responsible for personal information. Information about the organizing committee is distinct from the company’s corporate information.

2. Information collected and purposes
Applications and enquiries provide names, names for publication, countries/regions, postal addresses, email addresses, work/performance details, submitted materials, payment status and correspondence. Junior entries also involve age categories, applicant/teacher information and information needed to verify guardian consent.
We use this information to receive entries; verify identity, eligibility and payment; judge entries; notify and publish results; pay prizes; prepare and post certificates; provide requested feedback; calculate teacher awards; answer enquiries; prevent fraud; and keep legally required records. Where consent is required for another purpose, we obtain it in advance.
3. Publication, works and videos
Publication is limited to the scope stated in each competition’s rules. Where legal names and publication names are collected separately, legal names, postal addresses and email addresses are not published in result lists. Composition results may include publication names, countries/regions and work titles; junior results may include participant names, age categories and awards, as specified in the relevant rules.
Rights in works and performances remain with their rights holders. Any licence to introduce awarded works is governed by the relevant rules and is not expanded by this page. Junior entry videos and URLs are used only as necessary for administration, judging, verification and fraud prevention; we do not republish them on websites, social media, or advertising/publicity media.
4. Service providers, disclosure and overseas processing
Jurors and providers of website/forms, payment and delivery services handle information only as needed for their tasks, with legally required supervision. We do not provide personal data to third parties without the individual’s consent except where permitted by law.
This site uses Wix and supported online payment services. Where personal data is handled abroad, we provide information, obtain consent or confirm required safeguards as applicable under law. Please contact us for information that must be provided by law about overseas handling.
5. Retention
Judging materials are managed under the retention periods in the relevant rules. Where a competition specifies deletion within six months after results, we follow that target. Information needed for legal compliance, payment/prize/entry records or disputes, and backups, may be retained separately. Other information is retained according to its purposes and legal requirements, then deleted or anonymized when no longer needed.
6. Your requests and security
We take necessary and appropriate security measures for the information handled to prevent leakage, loss and damage. We accept legally provided requests for notification of purposes, disclosure, correction/addition/deletion, suspension or erasure of use, cessation of third-party provision, and disclosure of third-party provision records.
Email info@iseshimaart.com with your name, the competition and approximate entry date, and your request. After proportionate verification of your identity or authority to act, we respond in accordance with law and explain any inability to fulfil all or part of a request. Privacy complaints and enquiries use the same contact.
7. Cookies and external services
Wix features and external content may process cookies, IP addresses, device and browsing information. You can manage cookies through browser settings, although restrictions may affect some features. Please also consult the relevant providers’ privacy policies for linked sites, payment screens, videos and social media services.
8. Minors
Minors must obtain consent from a parent or other legal representative for entry and payment. Junior entries require prior guardian consent to participation, the rules and the specified publication of results. Teachers or other representatives must apply on the guardian’s prior request and authorization.
9. Review before applying; cancellation and refunds
Before completing your application and payment, check and correct the entry details, number of entries, paid options, total price in Japanese yen, payment method and timing, deadline, expected results/feedback/certificate schedule, and cancellation/refund terms. Where one entry and payment are required per work, do not combine several works into one entry. Details are in the competition rules and Commercial Disclosure.
Cancellation and refunds for the applicant’s convenience are generally unavailable. Duplicate payments, organizer cancellation, or inability by the organizer to provide paid feedback for a valid entry are handled under the disclosure and relevant rules. Statutory rights to cancellation, termination, refunds and damages remain unaffected. Provisions do not apply to the extent invalid under Japan’s Consumer Contract Act or other mandatory law.
10. Competition rules and changes
Consult each competition’s rules for its eligibility, fees, dates, publication scope and rights provisions. This information does not retroactively change an existing entry contract to the entrant’s disadvantage. Updates are posted here with a revision date, with any legally required notice or consent. Please ask before entering if a translation is unclear or differs from another language.
