VIVO International Music Competition has opened applications for its 2026–27 winter edition in New York. The standard deadline is 6 December 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time. Live auditions take place on 20 December at PianoPiano Rehearsal Studios in Manhattan, and artists who cannot attend may substitute a YouTube performance link received by 18 December.

Eligibility, soloists and ensembles

The published winter rules describe a competition for young instrumentalists, with age divisions and separate online application routes for solo performers and ensemble members. Participants of different nationalities may apply. The live competition takes place in Manhattan, but the organiser accepts an online video route for those unable to travel.

Solo performers and ensemble groups use different forms and fee arrangements. Before applying, verify the age categories and repertoire time limits in the detailed Winter Competition Requirements; the site's competition labels should not be mistaken for a universal professional-orchestra audition.

Entry costs and submission materials

The official application lists a nonrefundable US$150 fee for each solo entrant and US$100 per ensemble member. In a quartet, for example, this implies fees for each member, not a single US$100 fee for the whole group. Payment is completed through the organiser's online system.

Applicants must submit a complete application form by 6 December. Those choosing the remote performance option may supply their YouTube link separately by 18 December to the organiser's published audition email, with their name, instrument and age group clearly stated.

Live auditions, late applications and venue

The live round is scheduled for Sunday 20 December 2026 at PianoPiano Rehearsal Studios, 37 West 65th Street, fourth floor, New York, NY 10023. The organiser says late applications may be accepted without a late fee, but late entrants cannot request preferred live-audition slots; no one should rely on a late acceptance.

Successful application does not imply prize money, a contract or automatic New York recital engagement. Performers considering travel should confirm whether accompanists, rehearsal facilities or performance recording will incur further costs.

Organizer context and applicants' safeguards

VIVO International Music Competition promotes young classical instrumentalists through periodic New York audition events and online participation. The current site displays winter and upcoming spring schedules, including prior competition rules and payment details.

Because entry involves payment and personal details, consult the actual official winter form, keep receipts and avoid third-party portals advertising a different deadline or cheaper unofficial entry.

Official organiser and application

Information reviewed on 23 October 2026. Applications, eligibility, costs and rights are governed by the latest organiser rules. Confirm the live entry form before applying.
