Soundcinema Dusseldorf 2026 - Call for Sounds

Opportunity / work requirements: The recorded-sound festival accepts prerecorded experimental, electronic and electroacoustic works in two categories: Open Category and the 2026 theme "Acceleration." Eligible formats include musical compositions, sound collages, sound experiments, soundscapes, narrative audio and technoid productions. Works must not exceed 10 minutes and may be stereo or multichannel up to 7.1. Each submission includes a concept paper of no more than 300 words and a short CV. Previously published work is eligible if not published before 2021; works made in 2025-2026 or not yet published receive preference. Up to two works may be submitted per category.

Support / prize / benefit: Ten selected works will be presented acousmatically at FFT Dusseldorf on 28 October 2026. Two jury prizes and one audience prize are listed, each worth EUR 750. Every selected work also receives a gross performance payment of EUR 100.

Application method: Upload the work through the official upload link printed in the call PDF. If the upload service does not work, applicants may send their own permanent download link to info@soundcinema.eu. The PDF specifies audio formats, channel order and loudness requirements.
