ASMAC Brass Quintet 2026 Call for Scores

Organizer: American Society of Music Arrangers and Composers (ASMAC), with Tower Brass.

Deadline: 31 August 2026.

Entry fee / cost: ASMAC membership is required. The official call page reviewed does not state a separate submission fee.

Eligibility: ASMAC members may submit one score.

Opportunity / work requirements: The submission may be an original composition or an arrangement of a work that is not under copyright, or for which the arranger has obtained permission. Instrumentation is brass quintet - two trumpets, horn, trombone and tuba - or a smaller subset of those instruments. A single-movement work may last no more than 4 minutes; a multiple-movement work may last no more than 6 minutes. Submit an anonymous score PDF and an MP3 recording; a MIDI realization is accepted.

Support / prize / benefit: Tower Brass will blind-review the submissions. Selected works will be considered for the ASMAC Conference concert featuring Tower Brass on 8 October 2026. The official call does not state a cash prize or honorarium.

Application method: Use the submission function on the official ASMAC call page. Selected composers will subsequently be asked to provide biographies and programme notes.

Schedule / additional conditions: Selected works are scheduled to be announced on 15 September 2026. Scores and parts for selected works are due by 21 September 2026.
