Entry fee / cost: EUR 350 for active participants. Auditor participation costs EUR 50. Students of the Reggio Emilia Conservatory may audit free of charge upon presenting proof of enrollment.

Eligibility: For composition students of all ages and nationalities. Ten active places are available, of which two are reserved for composition students of the Reggio Emilia Conservatory.

Opportunity / work requirements: Applicants for active participation submit permanent downloadable links to at least two PDF scores for different instrumentations, optional related MP3 recordings, and an artistic and academic CV. Materials that can only be viewed online and cannot be downloaded are not accepted. The masterclass takes place in Reggio Emilia from 19 to 23 October 2026.

Support / prize / benefit: The five-day programme includes individual and group composition lessons with Malin Bang, a public lecture, and an Icarus Ensemble reading session devoted to selected participants' scores or excerpts. A concert of new works by active participants is scheduled for the first months of 2027, performed by Icarus Ensemble.

Application method: Apply through the Google Form linked from the official page. Auditor applications are made by email no later than the day before the activity requested and are subject to available places.

Schedule / additional conditions: Selection is scheduled by 24 August 2026. Selected applicants must complete payment within eight days of confirmation or lose their place.
