Fenix Award International Music Competition 2026: Free Preliminary Round, 10 November Deadline
Open online competition with two stages
The ninth Fenix Award International Music Competition is accepting performance videos until 10 November 2026. The preliminary round takes place on 11–13 November, with results scheduled for 14 November. Qualifying entrants may confirm a final-round place from 14–18 November, followed by judging on 19–24 November and results on 25 November. All stages take place through submitted recordings rather than a concert-hall journey.
The key cost distinction
The published regulations say the preliminary round is free. However, performers invited to the final round must pay a non-refundable administrative fee of €88.50 if they choose to continue. The free initial entry should therefore not be read as free participation in both rounds. The organiser says advancement to the final does not oblige an entrant to pay or continue.
Musical categories
The event accepts solo piano and keyboards, strings, winds, brass, percussion, traditional instruments, opera singing, chamber music, composition, conducting and pop music. Age groups for solo instrumentalists range from seven years and under through age 26 and over, while the regulations explicitly state those divisions apply only to solo instrumentalists. Candidates should choose the appropriate category and avoid treating every entrant as subject to a single age structure.
Recording rules and prizes
Applicants send a publicly accessible or unlisted video link through the organiser's form, with no edits within the musical performance. A presentation may last up to 25 minutes, although jurors may listen to a shorter excerpt. Composers may use audio in place of performance video. The main award tiers are Absolute, Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Honorable Mention; the rules describe visibility and digital diplomas rather than advertising an automatic cash prize or paid professional engagement.
Organiser and due diligence
The Fenix Award identifies itself as associated with the Universal Maestro Society and maintains written regulations and an application page. Jury names are not publicly disclosed under the listed rules, so prospective entrants should factor that transparency limitation into their decision. Review the conditions for publication of recordings, contact by email and the final-round payment before entering.
