Organizer: Contemporary Music Centre Ireland and the Digital Media and Arts Research Centre (DMARC), University of Limerick.

Eligibility: Open to Irish and international composers and sound artists. The programme is intended for applicants who can demonstrate the artistic and technical capacity to use the available facilities.
Opportunity / work requirements: Each residency lasts 10 working days and will take place either from September to December 2026 or from January to March 2027. Facilities include the University of Limerick Electronic Music Studio, a Buchla 200e, the 32-channel SpADE immersive sound laboratory, a makerspace, recording studios, microphones, and production hardware and software. Additional residency time may be requested when it does not create additional costs.
Support / prize / benefit: The selected artist receives a €1,000 honorarium, a travel bursary of up to €350, and an accommodation bursary of up to €1,400 for ten nights. The programme supports six artists during 2025-2027, comprising four Irish and two international artists.
Application method: Apply through the online form linked from the official page. Required materials include a CV, work samples, a residency project outline with technical requirements, an explanation of how the facilities will be used, and a statement describing how the residency would benefit the applicant’s practice.
Schedule / additional conditions: The resident must give a one-hour talk or performance for the DMARC community and document the residency through photographs, video, recordings, and/or written reflections. Documentation may be shared by CMC, and artists may be invited to contribute to CMC podcasts or online articles.
