Entry fee / cost: The official rules reviewed do not state an entry fee.
Eligibility: Open to composers of all nationalities, with no age limit. Each applicant may submit one work.
Opportunity / work requirements: The submitted composition must be original and unpublished, must not have been commissioned for payment or awarded in another competition, and must not previously have been performed publicly. The work must be for solo harp and string orchestra without electroacoustic media, last 10-15 minutes, and use no more than strings 8.6.4.3.2. The full score, solo-harp part, and audio file must be anonymous.
Support / prize / benefit: The winner receives €4,000, subject to applicable tax withholding, and a world premiere in a special concert connected with Noia Harp Fest 2027, performed by internationally recognized artists. The jury may grant a non-monetary honorable mention to the second-placed work. Results are scheduled by 15 February 2027.
Application method: Complete the registration form on the official Noia Harp Fest website and send a compressed file by WeTransfer to premiocomposicion@noiaharpfest.gal. The file must contain the anonymous full-score PDF, anonymous solo-harp-part PDF, and WAV or MP3 audio file.
Schedule / additional conditions: The judging criteria include originality, harp and string writing, formal coherence, and feasibility. References to Galician music or culture are positively considered but not required. Copyright remains with the composer, and the winner must provide performance materials for the premiere without charge.
