WIYAMS 2027 Calls for International Solo, Chamber and Composition Applications
Opportunity overview
The Washington International Young Artists Music Series (WIYAMS), presented by the International Art Development and Promotion Association in Washington, D.C., is accepting applications for 2027. Its selective artist-development programme generally presents three to six curated concerts a season and offers performance, collaboration and professional exposure.
Eligibility
This is described by the organizer as a global programme. Its YOUNG ARTIST designation is for current music undergraduates, while its ARTIST designation covers graduate music students and musicians with relevant graduate degrees. International applicants must still meet the eligibility provisions specific to their route.
Tracks and work requirements
Applicants choose Solo, Chamber (two to four performers), or Composition (Human × AI). Solo and chamber entrants provide an audition video recorded within the previous 12 months and hosted on YouTube. The video may last up to 20 minutes and must include one complete work or movement shorter than eight minutes. The performing personnel must match the application.
Deadline and application
The 2027 call opened on September 1, 2026. The early-bird deadline is November 1 and the final application deadline is December 16; results are expected in late January 2027. The organizer provides separate official pages and application forms for the three tracks.
Fees, benefits and important conditions
Early entry costs US$95 for solo or composition and US$165 for a chamber ensemble. Regular prices are US$125 and US$195 respectively, with fees non-refundable. Being named an Artist Candidate does not guarantee an invitation to perform; the official ARTIST or YOUNG ARTIST designation is conferred upon qualifying performers only after completing an official WIYAMS concert.
