Gamble Rogers Folk Festival 2027: Florida Invites Folk and Acoustic Performers by November 30
Florida's folk and storytelling festival seeks 2027 artists
The 32nd Annual Gamble Rogers Folk Festival has opened artist applications for its 2027 edition. The event will take place at the St. Johns County Fairgrounds, Florida, on 9, 10 and 11 April 2027. The organiser specifically invites local, regional and national musicians, offering an opportunity for performers whose repertoire connects with folk, roots, acoustic music and storytelling traditions.
What the event is known for
Named in honour of Florida troubadour and storyteller Gamble Rogers, the festival continues a longstanding tradition of live musical performance, camping, workshops and community participation. Its nonprofit organising body also supports year-round concerts and activities focused on roots music and songwriting. The 2027 programme is an invitation to perform, not a classical music prize contest.
Application deadline and preparation
The official festival announcement gives 30 November 2026 as the artist-application deadline and links to a dedicated application route. Applicants should prepare a concise biography, links to representative live or recorded performances, an account of their musical style and any production requirements requested by the form. Selection criteria and precise submission fields should be taken from the live application.
Travel, pay and eligibility
The festival explicitly welcomes local, regional and national musicians; it does not, in the public announcement, promise to pay airfare, lodging or any fixed performance fee. Overseas performers should not assume that international travel costs or work permissions are covered. Request clarification from the organiser before accepting any booking that requires significant expenditure.
Verified organiser and original source
Gamble Rogers Folk Festival is associated with a registered nonprofit organisation and publishes its venue, festival dates and application call on its own website. Prospective performers should enter through the official application link rather than pay an unsolicited booking intermediary. Source reviewed 24 October 2026, and later organiser updates take precedence.
