Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival 2027 Invites International Artist Proposals by November 1
Jazz and blues programming for 2027
Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival in Scotland is considering performance projects for its July 16–25, 2027 programme. The call covers jazz, blues and related music, with particular interest in creative and original work, smaller ensembles and diversity in its concert schedule.
Applicants based inside and outside Scotland
The festival provides separate email channels for artists based in Scotland and artists based elsewhere. International applicants are explicitly asked whether they have access to touring support funding. Preference is given to Scottish-based performers and projects matching the stated artistic priorities; acceptance from overseas is not guaranteed.
Materials the festival requests
Send a clear project description, band name or show title, line-up and technical requirements, an electronic press kit, audio and video links, social and media references, high-quality photographs of at least 1 MB and full contact details. Disclose the band's base and any touring support available for international projects.
Deadline, address and accessibility
Projects must be submitted before November 1, 2026. Artists based in Scotland write to scottishprogramme@ejbf.co.uk; those based outside Scotland write to programme@ejbf.co.uk. All submitters must also complete an anonymous equalities monitoring form. Artists facing access barriers may send a YouTube video containing the requested information rather than ordinary written material.
Selection and financial matters
Because the festival receives many proposals, it will only respond if a concert opportunity arises. Its public guidance does not establish a single application fee, performance payment or guaranteed travel and accommodation support for every musician. Specific professional terms are to be discussed directly with the festival.
