Clementi International Music Competition 2026: Online Piano, Voice, Strings and Film Music Entries to December 15
The Clementi International Music Competition is receiving online international entries for its late-2026 session, with a video and application deadline of December 15, 2026. The organizer expects to publish results on January 6, 2027. This broad-based contest accepts performers and music creators from around the world, including pianists, singers, string and wind instrumentalists, chamber groups, conductors, arrangers and film or game-music practitioners. Entrants do not attend a conventional on-site orchestral audition; they submit recordings and the relevant form remotely.
Choice of age, historical and creative divisions
Applicants can select age-based categories such as Prodigy up to seven, Junior ages eight through ten, Youth 11–13, Young Artist 14–17, Advanced 18–22 and Professional without an age limit. Other categories group Baroque, Classical, Romantic and Modern repertoire, while specialist options cover original composition, duo and chamber music, concerto, sonata, musical or opera, music video, soundtrack, conducting and arrangements. The broad menu does not mean the same performance meets every category automatically.
What a complete online application contains
The official form asks for performer name as it should appear on a certificate, date of birth, current residence, instrument, repertoire or work identification, valid email address and a video or audio submission as applicable. Performers should make their recording accessible to the jury without unexpected password expiration or geographically restricted services. Creators submitting music composed for film and games need to confirm they possess the rights to upload sound or video material containing third-party content.
Costs rise with multiple categories
The public registration schedule is £65 for one category, £120 for two, £170 for three and £220 for four. These are participation fees rather than promised cash awards. The organizer requires the candidate to follow the application instructions for additional categories, and entrants should carefully check refund, reproduction and image-use provisions before making payments. Recognition and certificates are not a substitute for guaranteed paid performances or recording contracts.
About the competition and its published results
Named after pianist-composer Muzio Clementi, this organizer operates an official competition website with earlier 2024–26 session results, listed categories, entry terms and previous winners. Candidates can examine that archive before deciding whether the exposure and costs suit their own career stage. The contest is independent of other similarly structured online competitions called Berlioz, Saint-Saëns or Francesca Lebrun, which have separate forms and their own fees.
Application and video deadline: December 15, 2026. Expected result date: January 6, 2027. Official fees £65–£220 based on number of categories.
