Blues on Broadbeach 2027 Opens International Artist Applications for Bands and Solo Acts
Australia's blues and soul festival
Blues on Broadbeach is inviting solo musicians, duos and bands to apply for its 2027 programme in Broadbeach, Gold Coast, Queensland. The festival is scheduled for May 13–16, 2027, and features blues, soul and related live music across indoor and outdoor venues.
Who can apply, including outside Australia
The official online application explicitly instructs applicants from outside Australia to enter 'NA' in the Australian Business Number (ABN) field. International acts are therefore accommodated by the process; it is not restricted to Australian business registrants. Participation may still depend on any required travel and work permissions.
Information requested in the application
The form asks for the artist or billing name, band members and contacts, home city, music and live-performance links, a short biography capped at 50 words, a longer biography and press images. It also has fields for a technical specification, stage plot and public liability insurance certificate. The organizer may ask for further logistics if an act is selected.
Deadline and notification
Artist applications close Monday, January 25, 2027. Entries are submitted through the official festival's Artist Applications page and its linked FestivalPro platform. The organizer reviews submissions throughout the intake period and asks artists to watch their email for updates; applying does not ensure a performance.
Fees and conditions
The official FAQ states that there is no application fee. The public call does not set a uniform performance payment, travel reimbursement or accommodation package. Artists should distinguish the free submission from any negotiated arrangements following selection and verify the final terms with the festival.
