Città di Allumiere 2027: international march composition competition
Organizer and eligibility
Amici della Musica organizes this competition with the Municipality of Allumiere and Scomegna Edizioni Musicali. Established in 2011, it supports the wind-band march repertoire. All ages and nationalities are eligible; multiple entries are permitted.
Categories, deadline and prizes
Category A covers concert marches, including symphonic marches and pasodobles: at least three minutes, maximum grade 4. Category B is for parade marches up to grade 2.5. Follow the prescribed instrumentation and category-specific limits, including B’s bar limits by time signature.
Works must be unpublished, unperformed and neither awarded nor recognized in another competition. Funeral and religious marches, electronic instruments and playback-based works are excluded. Deadline: 31 January 2027, 23:59; no time zone is stated. The non-refundable fee is €50 per work, by bank transfer.
Prizes are €1,500/€700 in A and €1,000/€500 in B. First prizes include publication; review the publisher’s sample contract and its rights provisions.
Submission
Email an anonymous, digitally engraved PDF score with no title or other identifying marks, a non-live MP3, signed form and payment receipt to the address in the rules. Submit a separate email and fee for each work.
