Alirio Díaz International Youth Guitar Competition 2027 Opens in Rust, Austria
The Alirio Díaz International Guitar Competition in Rust, Austria, has opened registration for its youth division from 12 October 2026. Young classical guitarists can present freely chosen repertoire in a dedicated age-group competition.
Who can apply
Group 1 is for players born in 2016 or later, performing 8–10 minutes. Group 2 covers birth years 2012–2015 with 10–13 minutes; Group 3 lists 2010–2012 with 13–16 minutes. As 2012 appears in both groups on the official page, applicants born that year should confirm placement with the organiser.
Dates, fees and rewards
Registration closes on 15 March 2027, or sooner if places fill. The youth entry fee is €45. First prize includes €150 and a diploma; second and third prizes carry diplomas. Repertoire is chosen by the entrant.
How to apply
Apply through the separate youth registration form linked from the festival's official sign-up page, rather than the adults' form. The venue is Seehof Rust, Austria. International applicants should budget for travel and consult the organiser about practical arrangements.
