Entry fee: No application fee.
Eligibility: Composers of any nationality may submit.
Composition / submission requirements: Each composer may submit one representative work. Submitted scores must be in PDF format. Submitted recordings must be in MP3, WAV, or AIFF format. The representative work must be for chamber ensemble of 3 to 12 musicians. Works with electronics are not accepted.
Prize / benefit: Two composers will be selected and commissioned by Euskal Herriko Txistulari Elkartea to write new pieces. One commission fee is €2,000 for a work for a small ensemble of no more than 6 musicians including at least one txistu player. The other commission fee is €1,500 for a work for a small ensemble of no more than 4 musicians including at least one txistu player. Selected composers must create the new work before 30 June 2027.
Application method: Send the required materials by email to konposiziolehiaketa@txistulari.eus. Required documents include the participation sheet, one score and recording of a representative chamber-ensemble work, and a brief biography of not more than one page.
