Deadline: 1 September 2026 at 23:59 Jerusalem time.
Entry fee: 150 NIS, stated as 40 euros on the official page.
Eligibility: Open to composers of all ages and nationalities.
Composition / submission requirements: Works must be written for 5 to 14 instruments from the official list: flute with doublings, oboe with English horn, clarinet with bass clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, horn, trombone, two violins, viola, cello, contrabass, piano, and percussion. Additional instruments and electronics are not allowed. Duration must be 8 to 15 minutes. Works that have won prizes in other competitions are not accepted, but the work does not have to be newly composed.
Prize / benefit: The winning piece receives a €3,000 gross prize and will be performed and live recorded on 26 December 2026 at the Tel Aviv Jaffa Music Center by Meitar Ensemble, conducted by Pierre-André Valade.
Application method: Submit by email to ceme.meitarensemble@gmail.com with the online application form, anonymous PDF score under a pseudonym, short description, CV, and proof of entry-fee payment. An anonymous recording or MIDI simulation is recommended.
Recommended for: Composers with an ensemble work suitable for a professional contemporary-music group.
Applicant note: Prepared piano and percussion additions require prior approval, so composers should check special-instrument needs early.
