Iannis Xenakis International Electronic Music Competition 2026

Entry fee: €15.

Eligibility: The competition is anonymous and open to composers of any nationality and age. Winners of previous Xenakis competitions cannot participate in the 6th competition.

Composition / submission requirements: Each composer may submit one electroacoustic composition for loudspeaker diffusion without live sound interventions. The work may use up to 8 channels and must be 7 to 15 minutes. The work may have been performed in concerts but must not be the object of discographic or publication rights.

Prize / benefit: The jury will select and mention the five highest-quality works and award three prizes of €600, €400, and €300. The Contemporary Music Lab will present the distinguished pieces in a concert in November 2027.

Application method: Submit one ZIP file containing biography, contact information, piece information, the stereo audio file, multichannel files if applicable, setup/routing information if applicable, and the payment receipt. Applicants must use the official application form and send the piece to xenakis@auth.gr using a large-file transfer service.
