Entry fee: €50 per work.
Eligibility: Open to professional-level musicians born on or after 1 August 1991. The official page states that no age-limit exceptions are granted.
Composition / submission requirements: Applicants may submit one or more anonymous PDF scores in the Symphonic Music and/or Chamber Music categories. Submitted works must not have been publicly performed or awarded prizes in other composition competitions before 1 August 2026. Duration is 10 to 30 minutes. Symphonic works may be for orchestra or concertante forces within the listed maximum instrumentation; chamber works may be for 2 to 10 performers from the official instrument list.
Prize / benefit: Symphonic Music Prize: €10,000 net. Chamber Music Prize: €7,000 net. Special Prize for Originality: €5,000 net. Winners are scheduled to be announced during the opening concert of the George Enescu International Competition on 23 August 2026 in Bucharest.
Application method: Apply through the online application form on the official page and upload the anonymous score and required documents. Proof of payment is required.
Recommended for: Young professional composers with a strong orchestral or chamber-music work that has not yet been publicly performed or awarded.
