Francisco Escudero International Accordion Composition Competition 2026

Deadline: 25 September 2026.

Entry fee: No fee. The official conditions state that participation does not involve any fee.

Eligibility: Open to composers of any age and nationality.

Composition / submission requirements: The first modality is for new works for solo accordion or chamber music with accordion. Works must be no longer than 10 minutes. Chamber works may use a maximum of four players and must include at least one accordion. Only works written after January 2022 are admitted. Commissioned or already released works may be submitted, but previously awarded works are not accepted.

Prize / benefit: First Prize: €2,000 and publication of the score. The organization may also consider publishing other works at the jury’s discretion.

Application method: Registration is through the Google Form linked from the official Hauspoz page and the 2026 conditions PDF. Applicants submit a digital copy of the piece or download link and a brief biography. Scores must contain only the title or motto and no personal identification.

Recommended for: Composers who write for accordion, solo accordion, or small chamber groups including accordion.

Applicant note: The official PDF also describes a pedagogical accordion-ensemble modality with a €1,100 commission. Applicants should read both modalities before choosing the best category.
