FACTOR Live Performance 2026–27: Tour and Showcase Support for Canadian Artists
Overview
FACTOR’s Live Performance program provides project funding for eligible Canadian artists undertaking domestic or international tours and showcases. It is a grant program rather than an employment offer. The program is intended to help artists reach audiences, develop markets and offset eligible live-performance costs.
Who can apply
Applicants and artists must meet FACTOR’s Canadian eligibility rules and hold the required rated profiles. Showcase applications are available across the eligible artist ratings, while tour funding is structured by artist rating. The project must relate to a qualifying current release or an eligible upcoming release. General Artists applying for a domestic tour must present at least five eligible paid, ticketed performances; Artist 2 and Artist 3 tours require at least eight eligible performances.
Funding and eligible activity
Support is calculated against the approved eligible budget and program caps. General Artist domestic tours may receive up to CAD 5,000, and showcase support may reach CAD 7,500. Artist 2 and Artist 3 applicants have higher combined annual limits across tour and showcase activity. Eligible costs can include travel, accommodation, ground transportation and certain performance-related expenses. Capital purchases and other excluded costs are not supported, so applicants should check the current guidelines before building a budget.
Deadlines and timing
Artist 2 and Artist 3 tour and showcase applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Applications must normally be submitted at least one calendar day before departure and no more than six months before the latest project date; current-year applications must be filed by 14 January 2027. The next General Artist domestic-tour deadline is 1 December 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. Dates and program availability can change.
How to apply
Create or update the required artist and applicant profiles in FACTOR’s online system, then submit the project application, itinerary, confirmed performance information and budget through the official portal. Read the current program guidelines and profile requirements before applying.
