A dedicated singer application, separate from the pianist call
Classic Lyric Arts (CLA) is taking applications from singers for its 2027 training and performance programmes. Unlike the separate accompanist/pianist recruitment, this opportunity asks applicants to identify their voice type and submit an initial vocal recording. Programmes named on the official application are CLA France (1–15 June), CLA Mozart (12–25 July) and CLA Bel Canto (28 July–12 August).
Early application saves the registration fee
According to the organiser's YAP Tracker form, singer applications submitted from 23 August through 31 October 2026 have no application fee. Applications received from 1 through 23 November 2026 incur a US$15 application fee. This distinction refers to the audition application only; it does not mean the eventual training programme or associated travel is free.
First round video and second round auditions
The first stage requires a recording of an aria or art song in French or Italian, together with a headshot, résumé and educational background. Applicants who pass the preliminary review may be invited to a live audition in New York in December 2026 or offered the option to submit a fuller video audition. The programmes suit classical singers interested in developing French repertoire, Mozart performance or Bel Canto style in an intensive artistic setting.
