Entry fee: $0.
Eligibility: Open to composers who are current residents of the United States, or United States citizens living anywhere. Age is limited to 18 years and older.
Composition / submission requirements: The call is for a conductorless string ensemble work, playable by 32111, 44221, or larger strings. Optional harpsichord may be considered. The work must be original and unpublished, approximately 4 to 7 minutes, and must not have received a public performance in the submitted version or instrumentation.
Prize / benefit: One selected work receives a $3,000 USD monetary prize. The PDF states that COmpass REsonance does not commit to programming the chosen work, but has the right to perform the world premiere if it performs the work between March 2027 and March 2028.
