Entry fee: Youth Division: $50 US. Emerging Division: $75 US. The official page states that the registration fee may be paid by credit card or PayPal.
Eligibility: Youth and emerging composers, arrangers, and songwriters from all countries and territories may participate. The official page defines the Youth Division as entrants under 18 years of age at the registration deadline, and the Emerging Division as entrants 18 years of age or older at the registration deadline, with no age limit.
Composition / submission requirements: Entrants are provided with a short film and submit a classical piece and annotated sheet music by the submission deadline. Works must be original and created for submission to the awards. Entrants may register in teams of no more than two. Generative AI and pre-written or recorded music are prohibited in the composition or production of submissions.
Prize / benefit: The winner receives $1,000 US in the Emerging Division or $750 US in the Youth Division, and the piece may be published by Concord. Nominees are invited to a professional-development day in New York City held in conjunction with the awards presentation.
