Deadline: Preliminary registration deadline: 1 July 2026. Sketch-round deadline: 1 October 2026.

Entry fee: €50 per participant, non-refundable.

Eligibility: Open to individuals who reside in or study in the Netherlands, Belgium, or Luxembourg; are at least 18 years old; and are composition students, composers who graduated from a composition program no more than five years ago, or amateur composers up to and including age 27.

Composition / submission requirements: The assignment is to compose a 5 to 8 minute work for string orchestra based on the theme “Nature.” The first round consists of a 1 to 2 minute sketch. The sketch submission includes an anonymized PDF score, audio recording, and a program note of no more than 300 words.

Prize / benefit: The regulations describe the competition as an educational and developmental program. Phase 3 includes live performance of selected sketches, presentation and discussion by the composer, and jury feedback for all participants.

Application method: Registration must be completed through the official application form. Registration becomes valid only after receipt of the completed registration form and payment of the registration fee.
