Deadline: 1 March 2027, 23:59 GMT.
Entry fee: 2,000 JPY. The official rules state that the fee must be paid through the application form by PayPal, Alipay, or credit card, and that application fees are non-refundable.
Eligibility: Open to applicants of all nationalities, with no age restriction.
Composition / submission requirements: Applicants submit lyrics written by themselves. The genre and length of the lyrics are unrestricted. Collaborative lyrics are accepted if all co-authors are listed on the application form using slashes. Applicants may optionally submit an audio or video recording of a musical work using the lyrics. Lyrics that have already been published or have received awards in other competitions may be submitted. One lyricist may submit multiple lyrics, but each work requires a separate application form and fee. The use of AI is strictly prohibited.
Prize / benefit: Grand Prize: 50,000 JPY and certificate. Special Prize(s): certificate(s) for up to approximately 35 entrants.
Application method: Applicants submit through the official application form linked from the International Lyric Competition page. Results are scheduled to be announced on 5 May 2027 on the Ise-Shima Art Company website, and applicants are also notified by email.
